Creating Applications In Rent Cafe for Applicants

Site managers can create an application in Rent Cafe for applicants within Site Manager by following these steps:

Steps to Create an Application

  1. Navigate to the Compliance Dashboard:

    • Go to the Compliance Dashboard.
    • Click on Search All.
    • Select Create Application.
  2. Create Application Screen:

    • The Create Application screen will appear.
    • Select the desired property and initial workflow.
    • Enter the applicant's details: Voyager code (if available), name, social security number, date of birth, and email.
    • Click Save when complete.
  3. New Applicant's Household Page:

    • You will be directed to the new applicant's Household Page.
  4. Complete or Invite Applicant to Complete Application:

    • Go to the Application tab.
    • From the Application tab, choose one of the following:
      • Complete Application: Complete the application on behalf of the applicant.
      • Invite Prospect to Complete Application: Send an email to the applicant, prompting them to log in to RentCafe to complete their application.
  5. Invite Prospect to Complete Application:

    • If you choose Invite Prospect to Complete Application, Site Manager will ask for confirmation.
    • Click Yes to send the invitation email to the applicant.
  6. Complete Application:

    • If you choose Complete Application, you will be taken through the same application screens as the applicant, depending on the selected workflow, to complete the application.

Key Note:

  • Site Managers can take over an application that an applicant has started, by following these steps.
  • Only for applicant creation (not existing residents )
  • If the user already has a pre-generated p-code through yardi voyager , please use the existing p-code for the application.
