The following error messages sometimes appear on the RentCafe registration and login screens for both applicants/residents and landlords.

47 | Invalid Password: Your password must include at least 10 characters, 1 uppercase letter, 1 lower case letter, 1 number, and 1 special character such as !#$@+. | The password created by the user must meet the complexity requirements shown in the error message. | The password created by the user must meet the complexity requirements shown in the error message. |
An applicant or resident may trigger one of the following errors when attempting to sign in to RentCafe on the login page.

25 | Invalid Login | The user name or password does not match what is on file. | If needed, you can reset the user’s password. For more information, see Managing User Login Information. |
26 | Invalid Account | The user is attempting to log in to a RentCafe site for a different property or agency. Alternatively, they may be attempting to log in to the applicant/resident portal using the login credentials associated with a landlord account. | They should confirm that they are using the correct URL. |
27 | You have exceeded the maximum login failures. You may use the Forgot Password link to reset your password. | The account is locked until the user resets their password by clicking the Forgot Password link and resetting it. | If needed, you can manually reset the user’s password. For more information, see Managing User Login Information. |
28 | This account is locked until your password is reset. Please check your email. A message has been sent with instructions on how to reset your password. | The user selected the Forgot Password link but has not completed resetting their password. Their account is locked until they complete that process. | They should check their email inbox or spam folder for the Reset Password email which includes a link and instructions. If needed, you can manually reset the user’s password. |
